When writing for a business audience, the topic sentence is your opening sentence (or sometimes the first sentence) which is the most important sentence of your paragraph.
It’s not good advice. But the topic sentence is the most important sentence of every paragraph. If it is not clear, there is no need to even write the paragraph.
The topic sentence is so important to any marketing plan that the best you can hope for is to write the first paragraph which says what the customer actually wants to read. There is one exception to this rule, however. If the customer is reading a business paper, the best you can do is to write the first paragraph which is a short outline of what the customer wants to read. That should be enough.
While this is a pretty simple rule to follow, it is not a very good one. The first paragraph of a business paper should be the one which presents the customer with what he wants. While it is important to get the customer to the point where he actually knows what he wants, the first paragraph should be about the details. If it is a sales pitch, the first paragraph should be a short paragraph about how the product works and what the customer needs to do to take advantage of it.
The first paragraph is the one which should give the customer what he wants. With regards to writing sales pitches, the first paragraph should be about the product, benefits, features, price, and how they could be useful. For example, the first paragraph of a sales pitch should tell the customer about the benefits of the product, how the customer could benefit from it, and how the product’s features could be useful.
That’s it. That’s the first paragraph of the sales pitch. It should be long and descriptive and should be relevant to the customer’s wants. The second paragraph should explain how the product works, how the customer could benefit from it, and how the product features that the product offers could be useful. The last paragraph should be a sales pitch for the customer, explaining how the product would do the job, and how they could benefit from it.
I’m a big believer in one sentence paragraphs. I’ve had to learn it myself, and I think it’s a great way to start a sales pitch. But you need to be a little more careful with these paragraphs. I’ve heard a sales pitch that starts by talking about how the product works, how the customer could benefit from it, and how they could benefit from it.
So in the case of one of the recent articles I wrote about my favorite product, I got a little sloppy. I did a bunch of copy and pasting which is good because you don’t want to make mistakes. But I should have gone with one sentence paragraphs because that’s the standard rule of thumb for business writing.
I know, I know, a sentence is just a paragraph with an indentation. But you have to make sure that all the words you put in the sentence are in there, and that the reader knows that these words are there. If all the words are in the same place, then the sentence reads like a list. So that sentence was a little longer than it should have been. Maybe I should have kept the sentence more compact and just said this is a list of a product.
That’s not a bad thing. A sentence is a good place to introduce new information. It’s also a great place to introduce new ideas. As you might expect, the topic sentence is often the first thing a reader sees when they start reading your work. That’s why it’s important to make sure your sentences have a topic sentence.
