I love the look of duck feathers. I like the way they look on the bird, and I’m going to use them in my DIY wing chun dummy.
Although they are sometimes the most practical thing in the world to have around, duck feathers are also the most impractical thing. A lot of folks aren’t very good with their birds’ feathers, so this duck might end up looking like a big, fat, dead bird.
Well, in this case, the duck is the real dummy, because the duck is the real wing chun dummy. To get a wing chun stuffed, one of the most important things you can do is get a nice, big, fluffy, soft duck. I actually have one of those duck-feathers hanging out in my office that I use for my wing chun dummy.
The duck is a perfect vehicle for stuffing one’s wing chun but not for stuffing your hand. I actually have an old, used hand-stuffed goose feather to use for my wing chun dummy. Just because the hand is stuffed doesn’t mean it’s stuffed with duck feathers.
You can’t just stuff your hand on a wing chun dummy because your hand is stuffed with duck feathers. So what you do instead is wrap your hand around the front of your wing chun dummy. The duck will actually sit on top of your hand and “stuffed” it. It’s a bit wacky, but it works and you get a nice stuffed duck.
Its a bit wacky, but its a great idea, and I like that you wrap the stuffed duck in a hand that is also stuffed with duck feathers. Makes the whole thing a bit more realistic.
The other cool thing about the wing chun dummy is that you can also make it fly. Well, not actually fly, but it can fly. There is a very easy way to do this, which I will describe for those of you not in the know. First you have to open the wing chun dummy.
All you do is flip the wings, then fold them back up. Then you pull the wings apart and they are now folded back up again. You don’t do anything else to it. You just fold the wings back up and they are folded back up again. You don’t do anything else to it.
